Welcome to Bakamuna
A four-bedroom boutique villa and small-team company-retreat venue in Hiriketiya, on Sri Lanka’s south coast. With Hiriketiya beach a fifteen-minute walk away, the villa has 200 Mpb/s fast internet, a desk in every room and an office making it a perfect home for digital nomads. The villa sleeps eight, up to twelve with the extra dorm, and for a company retreat we open a second villa a short walk away for groups of up to thirty. The house is situated in a quiet and beautiful location. My room was nicely furnished and comfortable. The Wi-Fi also worked wonderfully, which was very important to me, as I had a few meetings. There is a beautiful room for working, overlooking the trees where monkeys sometimes climb around. The hosts, Nigel and Renee, were very pleasant and helpful. As a solo digital nomad traveler, I highly recommend this place.

Bakamuna is a hidden gem! Tucked away in the jungle just a 15 minute walk from the beach on a quiet street, this villa was perfect for the 5 of us friends visiting Hiriketiya. The villa feels brand new and has a ton of communal spaces to hang out. The bedrooms feel nice and private with great AC. We enjoyed watching the monkeys play in the jungle behind the villa.
